Should you ceramic coat original single-stage classic paint?
For original lacquer/enamel single-stage: stick with a quality wax or sealant, not a ceramic coating.

- Skip machine polishing — on old single-stage you are removing color, not clear coat.
- Protect: A carnauba or synthetic sealant, applied by hand, refreshed seasonally.
- Maintain: pH-neutral hand wash; keep it garaged and covered when possible.
- Reapply: every ~2 months for this profile.
Old single-stage is porous and fragile; a reactive coating bonds unpredictably and the polishing prep risks burn-through on irreplaceable paint. The community has no consensus here — the safe answer is the reversible one.
